For many Porsche fans the 2.2 l. S (1970-1971), is the finest 911 S from the F-model era. With its 180 hp strong engine and a weight of just 1080 kg, the car is relatively fast even for today's standards. And with just 10 hp less than the later 2.4 l. Models (1972-1973), the difference in output is rather low. Unlike later 2.4 l. model, the 2.2 l. Still has the nice chrome look at the rear ventilation grid, the rear lights and the front blinkers as well as on the grids of the horn. It also features the anodized gilt lettering on the rear lid. Accordingly, the car has an all in all more classy look and is closer to the prototype models of the 911 from the 60s.
This Porsche 911 S Targa, in the signal color light yellow from 1970, was delivered ex-factory to its first owner, the American William Keating, in context of a “tourist delivery program“, it was then shipped to California. In 1983 he sold the car to Edward Lloyd Fry, who was the second owner until it returned to Germany. The car's history is completely documented, from German registration in context of the ex-factory delivery alongside insurance statement from 30 January 1971, over all U.S. insurance documents and countless invoices to the original handbook with manual, radio manual, seat belt manual and a fully stamped service book – everything is at hand. Thus mileage is sufficiently documented and plausible. The Porsche largely has its first finish and is in good and original condition. Apart from some mended spots, the underbody still has the original PVC underbody protection, welding jobs can not be detected. The interior of the 911 S is in likewise original condition. The driver's seat has a small mended spot, the instrument panel covering has isolated heat cracks. The engine is matching number and runs soft and smooth, according to the number from 1970, the gearbox is also matching number, it has slight oil leaks. The car comes with the original spare tire, the jack and the toolbag.
This car is insured through Auctionata AG and its insurance partner BELMOT for up to six weeks after the auction with a convenient all risks insurance that covers cases such as engine and/or transmission failure or accidental damages. This specific insurance cover is valid for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and may be continued by the buyer after the insurance period has expired at special conditions. The BELMOT all risks insurance excludes: a) indirect and direct damages due to the normal aging process (especially rust, corrosion, oxidation) or natural wear and tear, i. e. due to a natural wear during the drive mode, on car parts which have to be replaced repeatedly during the lifetime of the vehicle; b) indirect and direct damages based on thermal problems, especially due to high temperatures, insufficient cooling while driving or overheating.
The vehicle has to be paid within 3 days after the auction and collected within 7 business days after receipt of payment. The collection may be made via collection by the costumer or via collection by a transport company. A timely collection can also made via a commissioning of Auctionata to a fee-based transport (flat shipping rate). If the time period lapses without a result, the buyer has to pay storage costs in the amount of 25, - € per day.

Auctionata does not assume liability for hidden defects that have not been ascertained in the course of assessment.
