Announced in 1985 the AM V8 Vantage Zagato, reunited the famed Carroseria Zagato with Aston Martin after a 25 year break. Just 50 production cars and 2 prototypes were built, with rolling chassis production from Newport Pagnell and the aluminium coachwork hand formed and fitted at the Zagato factory nr. Milan in Italy. Featuring the ‘X’ pack 430 bhp V8 engine, lightweight Vantage chassis, propelled the car from 0-60 in 4.8 secs and a top speed of 186 mph. More compact than the Newport Pagnell bodied cars, the V8 Vantage Zagato is over 10% lighter and 7 inches shorter, improving both the roadholding and braking performance.
With body styling ‘of the era’ these superb driving cars, a pinnacle of the V8 era, now form the backbone of many Aston Martin enthusiasts collections.
Chassis 20018 was delivered when new in to the UK market in 1986. Resold via Aston Martin Sales in 1987 and exported to Hong Kong. Maintained by Aston Martin Hong Kong, the car was reimported to the UK in 2006 and been in single ownership since. In excellent condition and with very low mileage recoded, we are delighted to be offering this rare and attractively specified car, supplied fully prepared and serviced.
